E23 - Jim Donihee, Retired Air Force Colonel
“It's not a day to glorify war, but one for Canadians to honour our fallen and those who've served and thanking them for their sacrifices towards our freedom.“
Join me for a very special Remembrance Day episode as I chat with Jim Donihee, Retired Royal Canadian Air Force Colonel.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Jim was born to fly and destined to serve our country. Jim takes us along his incredible journey that began with his undergrad in Business and Computer Science to serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 28 years, retiring as a Colonel in the summer of 2000.
Today, Jim is a proud advocate for the No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation, an organization that ensures a poppy is placed on every grave in every cemetery in Canada for Remembrance Day. For Jim, this effort is not a glorification of war, but a gift of respect to our veterans and a powerful way to remind Canadians, both young and old, of the sacrifices that were made for this country that we call home.
Jim’s insights may stem from his years of military service, but they are truly universal to everyone. His words will give you the courage to explore and expand upon your boundaries and knowledge and to face the challenge of taking the steps needed to truly grow as a leader, both in business and in life. Because the greatest outcomes in your journey…
Will come from even the smallest of sacrifices you make.
